Hi, I'm Lisa Mondok — the owner of MaddyLu's, and the hands (and paintbrush!) behind everything you'll find here.
My love for home decor and decorating goes way back, but the furniture bug really bit in 2016, right after my family made the move from Pennsylvania to Florida. Furnishing a new home on a budget, I decided to try painting a piece myself — and I was instantly hooked. I haven't put the brush down since.
What started as projects for my own home slowly grew into custom work for others. I consigned in a few local shops, spent some time painting furniture for a local store before the pandemic, and eventually took the biggest leap of all: opening my own brick-and-mortar shop right here in Safety Harbor. I'm so happy to finally have a place to welcome you in person.
At MaddyLu's you'll find refurbished furniture, a few unfinished pieces waiting for their next life, home decor, and gifts. I'm also a proud retailer of Mudpaint and ReDesign with Prima, and I offer custom furniture painting and refinishing for projects big and small — just ask!
